Drive In Rack
Drive in pallet rack is a high density storage solution that requires fewer aisles and better cube utilization than standard pallet rack. Forklifts drive directly into the racks making it easy to retrieve pallets. ‘Drive in’ rack and ‘drive thru’ rack are terms that are used interchangeably. Drive in rack will be closed on one end of the rack, while drive thru rack will allow the forklift operator to quite literally drive through the entire racking system. Pallets are stored back-to-back, which allows for incredibly dense storage. The LIFO (last-in, first out) method is ideal for products that are fast moving and not time sensitive
Drive-in racking systems are usually the most affordable of the high density storage solutions.
